Prefabricated Modular Steel building system was used in the construction of the 2400-person worker camp project which is completed for Pengerang Integrated Petrochemical Complex (PIPC). Within the scope of the project, all electrical and mechanical works, design, engineering, infrastructure and superstructure construction, transportation and commissioning of the Pre-Fabricated Modular Steel building; 14 units of Turnkey 4-storey Modular Steel Buildings and 36 units of 1 and 2-storey Modular Steel buildings were completed by DORCE. In accordance with ASTM American Standards, a structure resistant to lateral force and to ocean-borne winds is provided. 4-storey buildings were built on the pile foundation system in the Johor region where the ground is damaged. Another important aspect of the project is usage of light steel system for 4-storey project.
